Old 5 Mile House

I'm a self described BBQ snob and their Brisket was the best I have ever had from a restaurant! Delicious and great smoke flavor. Everyone loved everything that had especially the Mac and cheese! It was a hit. Great job 5 mile house!

Friendly staff, live music, great atmosphere... The food is a strong 3.5.. some salt, flavor and trimming some of the fat off the BBQ would definitely bring it up to a 4.. We're definitely going to try it again. Worth trying!

I can't say enough about how much we enjoy 5 Mile House. I have eaten there several times and love it. I wish more people knew about it; it's so unique. The meat which is smoked (they have a fantastic state-of-the-art smoker), is delicious from the brisket to their to-die-for burgers. The atmosphere is lovely and weekends have entertainment.

Nice spot along Hwy 20. We ate lunch outside on a Sunday in October and weather was perfect. We were waited seated and served quickly and wait staff were attentive. We were served one wrong item that we didn’t order- but our party was happy with it and all food delicious. Bathroom are clean and well maintained. Definitely going to come back and try other dishes.

This place is awesome! We always pass by this place on our way to North Lake Tahoe. Finally made the time to swing by and eat a meal. So glad we did. Our server Aline was the best! Very patient and on point as we had a large party of 10 people. I highly recommend the brisket. Super delicious. Good vibes and ambiance. The staff were all super friendly and welcoming. I’ll be returning again soon!

Honestly, today my wife and I had the opportunity to visit this place, and all I can say is that everything was simply wonderful. From the very start, you're greeted with a warm, family-like atmosphere. If you're unsure about which beer to choose, the bartender, Evan, is happy to offer a sample of any beer they have. Our order was taken very quickly and prepared just as fast. We were also pleased to see that everything was very clean—from the tableware to the restroom, it was clear that cleanliness is a priority here. There aren’t many places like this, and this is exactly the kind of spot you want to return to. Thank you so much for our enjoyable experience.

Great experience here. Apparently it just reopened 6 weeks ago and is remodeled and under new ownership.. Good beer selection, clean and inviting in a Mountain Small Town Bar kinda way. Food is good, but seems to be getting refined a bit with it being so new of a business
